GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SALE: FEMINIST WALKING TOURS
Cécile & Julie SAS organizes feminist walking tours, hereinafter referred to as "walking tours".
Walking tours are booked on the website http://www.feministsofparisen.com (hereinafter referred to as the "website") published and owned by Cécile & Julie, a « société par actions simplifiée » (hereinafter referred to as the "company"), with a share capital of 200 euros, registered with the R.C.S. of Nanterre, France, under the number 841 351 992 and whose registered office is located at 53 rue Charles Laffitte 92200 Neuilly-sur-Seine, France. The website is hosted by Strikingly, Inc. a company based in Delaware (USA).
Any person taking part in one of the walking tours is hereafter referred to as the "client", whether he or she has made the booking directly or indirectly through a third party.
The walking tours are led by a guide, hereinafter referred to as "guide".
The booking and/or participation implies the unreserved acceptance of these general terms and conditions of sale.
Walking tours are sold on the www.feministsofparisen.com website at the price indicated. The company reserves the right to modify the price of the services offered at any time but undertakes to apply the rates in force at the time of order registration.
The reservation is effective upon full payment of the price online.
3. CONDITIONS OF CANCELLATION OR MODIFICATION OF THE BOOKING
The walking tours "Montmartre with hysterical feminists", "Street art & feminism", "Paris’ rebellious women", "The witch-hunt ", "The women of the Père Lachaise Cemetery", "Simone de Beauvoir & Feminism", "Feminist visit of Lyon" and "The witch-hunt of Bordeaux" take place regardless of the weather conditions. The client is requested to adapt his or her outfit to the weather conditions on the day of his or her walking tour.
The company reserves the right to cancel one of its waking tours in case of force majeure, sudden and unforeseeable unavailability of the guide, or in case of an insufficient number of participants.
For the walking tours "Montmartre with hysterical feminists", "Street art & feminism", "Paris’ rebellious women", "The witch-hunt ", "The women of the Père Lachaise Cemetery", "Simone de Beauvoir & Feminism", "Feminist visit of Lyon" and "The witch-hunt of Bordeaux":
In the event of cancellation at the initiative of the company, the participants concerned will be informed by e-mail (via the contact e-mail provided by the client at the time of booking). A postponement will be proposed to them on other slots. In the event of refusal by the client, the company undertakes to reimburse the full amount of the reservation.
The client may modify and cancel his/her reservation without charge up to four (4) working days before the walking tour (the departure time of the walking tour being taken as reference). In the event of a request for a change of date within this period, the reservation will be changed to another time slot subject to availability. In the event of cancellation within this period, the client will be entitled to a full refund.
Beyond the notice period of four (4) working days, no proposal to move to other slots will be guaranteed.
In the event of no-show or late arrival at the place and time of departure of the guided tour without prior notification by the client, no refund will be made.
For the walking tours "Louvre & Feminism", "Women at the Musée d'Orsay" & "Women artists at the Centre Georges Pompidou" :
In the event of cancellation at the initiative of the company, the clients concerned will be informed by e-mail (via the contact e-mail provided by the client when making the booking). A postponement will be proposed to them on other time slots. In the event of refusal by the client, the company undertakes to reimburse the full amount of the reservation.

In the event of a request for a change of date within this period, the reservation will be changed to another time slot subject to availability. Gift vouchers are valid for up to twelve (12) months. The beneficiaries meet the same general conditions as those set out above for the clients.
4. GENERAL CONDITIONS OF THE WALKING TOUR
The client is obliged to arrive at the indicated point of departure, at the time indicated on his/her confirmation e-mail.
Walking tours take place on foot. By making a booking, the client declares for himself/herself and the other participants concerned by his/her reservation, to be able to follow a group at a normal pace.
In the event of physical difficulties or disabilities of any kind, the presence of small children or others, the client may request an adjustment prior to the visit by sending an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org.
The guide supervising the walking tours is able to require, for the safety of the group (in the case of a client who is drunk or does not respect the safety rules, without the list being exhaustive), that one or more clients do not take part or leave the group during the walking tour. In this event, the client(s) concerned undertake to comply immediately without discussion.
A client who is asked by the guide to leave the walking tour in such an event will not be entitled to any refund.
5. SAFETY AND LIABILITY
The client agrees to behave in a respectful manner towards the guide and the group.
Before departure, the guide will give the safety instructions to be respected during the whole walking tour. The client undertakes to respect these instructions throughout the entire walking tour.
During the walking tour, the client undertakes to listen to the instructions given by the guide, whether verbal or not (hand signals and other). During the entire duration of the walking tour, the client undertakes to respect the French highway code (respect for traffic lights and pedestrian crossings, the list not being exhaustive). It is forbidden to move away from the group during the walking tour, except in case of necessity linked to the safety of all or part of the group or of others, or at the express request of the guide.
The client undertakes to assume full responsibility in the event of the commission of any offences against French law and road safety.
By booking a walking tour, the client expressly and unreservedly acknowledges that he or she:
- ACCEPTS THAT ANY ACCIDENT THAT MAY OCCUR DURING THE WALKING TOUR, CAUSING DAMAGE, INJURY OR DISABILITY (PHYSICAL, EMOTIONAL OR MENTAL HARM) IS IN NO WAY THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE COMPANY OR THE GUIDE PRESENT DURING THE VISIT;
- ACCEPTS FULL RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANY INCIDENT OR ACCIDENT HE/SHE MAY CAUSE TO OTHERS DURING A WALKING TOUR ORGANIZED BY THE COMPANY.
The client declares that he/she is the holder of a civil liability insurance policy.
The company has taken out a professional civil liability insurance policy with MMA.
6. PERSONAL BELONGINGS
The company or the guide cannot be held responsible for any loss, theft or deterioration of the client's personal belongings. The client is entirely responsible for his/her personal belongings during the walking tour.
In order to enjoy the walking tour in the best conditions, the client is invited to come with only the necessities. Indeed, no personal objects of any kind may be kept during the walking tour by the company or the guide present.
The parents or legal representatives of any minor participating alone or accompanied on the walking tour will be held responsible for any damage caused directly or indirectly by the latter.
By purchasing a walking tour organised by the Company, the client authorises Cécile & Julie SAS to use and distribute, free of charge and on a non-exclusive basis, photographs and videos taken by a representative of the company during the walking tour, as well as to use these photographs and videos, in whole or in part, for promotional or commercial purposes.
Upon written request, the customer can ask via email to email@example.com to have a publication in which he/she appears removed. Under no circumstances can the customer claim any financial compensation.
8. PROTECTION OF THE SITE AND VISITS
The company is the owner of the site and the walking tours. Thus, the content and structure of the walking tours are protected by intellectual and commercial property rights.
During the walking tours, it is strictly forbidden to film and record by any means whatsoever all or part of their content.
Any reproduction or distribution, in whole or in part, of the content of the walking tours, of any of their elements (texts, anecdotes, areas visited, etc.) for any commercial or promotional purposes, by any means whatsoever and on any medium whatsoever is strictly forbidden.
Failure to comply with these prohibitions may result in the termination of the walking tour for the client who contravenes these prohibitions, without any refund being made, and is likely to engage the criminal and civil liability of the client(s) involved.
9. PERSONAL DATA
In accordance with the regulations in force on the subject, the client has the right to access, rectify, modify and delete data concerning him/her. To exercise this right, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org indicating your first name, last name and e-mail address.
To unsubscribe from the newsletter, the client simply sends us an e-mail indicating their name, first name and e-mail address.

11. APPLICABLE LAW
If any provision of the General Terms & Conditions is deemed illegal or unenforceable for any reason, then that provision shall be deemed severable and shall not affect the enforceability of the remaining provisions. These General Terms & Conditions are subject to French law.
In the event of any dispute relating to their execution and effects, jurisdiction is expressly attributed by the parties to the Commercial Court of Nanterre, France, including in the event of summary proceedings, appeal in warranty or plurality of defendants.
